Today, is the very first day of the brand new November Color Challenge over on the Lindy's Stamp Gang blog! 

 

This challenge will run the entire month of October.  And as a bonus, those that play along and share their creations with Lindy's via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or linking up with the Color Challenge, may find themselves featured on the Lindy's blog in one of the 'Feature Friday's'.  Those who are featured on the blog will receive an email with a 20% off coupon to use at a time of their choosing.

The Rules:

1. Help us spread the word! Share our color challenge graphic in your blog post and link to the Lindy’s Stamp Gang blog  http://lindystampgang.wordpress.com , where the challenge can be found. For every 50 people that enter, we’ll have one giveaway! So 100 entries=2 giveaways.
2. Use Lindy’s Stamp Gang products! You can use, Starbursts, Flat Fabios, Moon Shadows, Glitz Spritz, Magicals, Embossing Powders, Mica Powders… any of our stamps, laser cut-outs, or brass charms.

Here's what I came up with...

 

This cute little journal/art journal was inspired by the idea of expressing yourself daily---on a small, 'index-card-sized' palette.  'ICAD' for those who are familiar.  If you're not familiar?  GOOGLE IT.  It's awesome :-)

 

In a nutshell, I plan on documenting a whole month of thanks, one 4x6 inch page at a time!

 

That's '30 Days Of Thanks'.

 

Thirty days to count my blessings.  To focus on the good things in my life.  To celebrate everything that is positive and beautiful. 

 

A gratitude journal in miniature!!

 

 

I started by stacking a bunch of heavy weight cardstock and binding it with some simple jute.

 

 

Next came the color!!  I did some fun stamping with my favorite Lindy's Flat Fabio sprays. 

 

Mango Mania Flat Fabio Spray (Yummy Orange, NO shimmer.)

Queen Of Hearts Red Flat Fabio Spray (Lovely Red, NO shimmer.)

Greased Lightnin' Green Flat Fabio Spray (Fabulous Green, STILL NO shimmer!)

Shabby Turbine Teal Glitter

Time Travel Teal Glitter

Jolly Holly Gang Stamp Set (Technically, a Holiday set.  BUT, the leaves in this set ROCK MY WORLD!!)

 

And you know I had to add some GLITTER!!  And vellum leaves.  How much do I love vellum, lately??!?

 

 

A few more bits and bobs and my cover was finished (UmWowStudio chippies and black thread, anyone??)!  Now, who's ready to get grateful with me??

A Year In Review...2012.

The thing I love best about a new year, is looking back on the triumphs and trials of the year before---on everything I've learned and how I've grown.  I honestly believe this growth can be seen in everthing we create. 

Fads, trends, difficulties and celebrations.  Happiness.  Despair.  Life---all reflected in the work of our hands.

That being said, I've gathered a few of my favorite creations from the past year to share with you here today.  For ease of posting, I've named each project the title I used on the associated blog post.  If you want more details, just click on the title and have a peek  :-)

Now, let's hop on down memory lane, shall we?? 

One of my all time favorite projects was created in January.  I love this project!!  Follow The Yellow Brick Road was created as my Guest Design Team submission for Saturated Canary's first GDT call and kinda began my whole journey with said company... 

I Cross My Heart is a super sappy, sentimental SMASH* page created in May, and every time I see it, I smile.  And sigh.  And smile again :-)

How Sweet It Is was a 4 by 6 inch postcard created in July for a swap.  Nearly monochromatic??  Yes, please :-)

In August came Give Big.  I still have no words.

In September, Beauty Is Fleeting...

AND Because You Can.  I think this one may not only be a Top 10 but my favorite tut of the year!

In October was Our Story...

AND Wobble :-)  C'mon!!  A bobble head card.  Just sayin'.

November brought Point And Click...

And December closes the year with It's A Wrap!!

Of my Top 10 projects, FIVE have tutorial videos, SEVEN have colored images, and ALL of them have helped me work through frustrations, gift friends, chronicle family photos, grow creatively and share with a FAB community of crafty peeps like me!!  I wouldn't trade it for the world!

I say, BRING IT 2013!!  I'm gonna get my craft on, my art on, my SMASH* on and my scrap on :-)  Like a BOSS!!

O' Christmas Tree!

 Hi, Everyone!! 

I hope your Holiday's have gone swimmingly, thus far!!  Other than a few buggies caught by myself, my Hubby and my internetz, all has been peachy 'round here.

I'm still diligently working away on my December Daily and choosing to turn a blind eye to all the 'toy shrapnel' lingering around my house.  I mean, really---how often do you get to see your Hubby hopscotch through the living room, trying to avoid Monster High doll accessories??  It's entertaining, to say the least!!  I suggested we install a few ropes to the ceiling and Tarzan swing our way across...

Aaahhh, well!  It coulda been EPIC!!!

Anywhoooo, here's a quick look at one of my December Daily pages :-)  I'm so in love with The Octopode Factory's Alice in Wonderland Dormouse on this page!!  It totally adds that 'not a creature was stirring' vibe.

December Daily LOVE!

DUDE!!  I totally did it!!  I acutally completed the base book for my December Daily album :-)  It fought me tooth and nail tho'...

 

There were glitter avalanches...and tool malfunctions...and delayed shipping times...  Buuuuut---I.  DID.  IT. 

 

Take that, December Daily!

 

 

I stitched myself up some covers... 



...and embellished with my favorite bling-n'-things.

 

 

Now, I can begin the even harder task of actually completing the photo and journaling portion of this fabulously huge project.

Our 'Micro-cation'. Just Like A 'Stay-cation', Only Not.

Hiya, Peeps!!

My Hubbs recently decided it was time for a little family getaway. The only problem was, no time. More specifically, no time to spend the night.

The solution?? 'A Micro-cation'.

What's that, you ask? Lemme explain.

A 'Micro-cation' requires all the same planning; all the same travel time. The BIG difference is, you have only one day to execute.

Living only about 4 1/2 hours from San Diego, it was the total PERFECT choice for our trip!!

Here's a few highlights...












Some may say that being crammed into a minivan with 5 other people for 9 hours sounds like a special brand of torture...

I say, my kiddos will always remember our family trip to Coronado.

Golden Beaches.

Mom's crazy ipod music mix.

Round Table Pizza.

Seven hours straight of Roadside Bingo.

Totally worth it.

Excuse Me, But I Mustache You A Question.

Last Friday, I got to meet some of the bloggin' ladies here in the AZ! A FAB bunch of ladies, I say!!!

This particular get together had a wonderful spread of mustaches on sticks.

C'mon! What's a girl to do??? An impromtu photo shoot, OF COURSE!!!

I'm A TOTAL "Videog"!!!

That's like a "photog", but not quite ;-)

I'm super excited to have been asked to join the FAB team over at Gauche Alchemy!! For the next year, I'll be bringing you some fun video *love*. We're talkin' tuts, tips and techniques over on the Gauche Alchemy Youtube channel.

Not familiar with Gauche Alchemy??? Think vintage and kitch, glitter and glitz & artsy and crafty all rolled into one.

Oh, yeah. It's all that and a bag of chips.

And then we'll take that empty chip bag and make something FABULOUS with it!!!

Kiddy Card Swap!

Good Morning!! Hope everyone is having a FAB Sunday!!

Today, I'm FINALLY gettin' around to sharing the pics I took of my girl during the Kid's Card Swap recently hosted by Krista over at Saturated Canary.

Paige had the best time creating for her new friend Amelia-Grace!!

She colored her heart out...



...and put together a card she was super proud of.
