Good Morning!!!
My girl had a full-on, 'rockstar' sleepover last night. We're talkin' tatoos, juice boxes, smores and rolls of TP strewn ALL over the house. Daddy even set up a tent in the living room that's roughly the size of a one bedroom home. No sleep was had by anyone.
Success!!!
All this girly togetherness has me thinkin' about my own friends. True friends. The kind that, no matter how much time passes between visits, nothing ever changes. Trues.
Here's a little card I put together featuring Wendy (along with one of her 'Trues'!) from Saturated Canary. She's one of Krista's brand new releases and you can pick her up HERE.
I created this fun background using a brand new mini stamp set I snagged from Michaels :-) LOVE this butterfly!! I simply stamped the image with multiple colors of Distress Ink and gave it a spritz. After it was dry, I gave it a quick press with an iron, and restamped a few of the butterflies with a black ink.
Here's a close-up of Wendy, all colored up. Love the black and white against the rainbow of colors!!
Thanks for stopping by today!! Is it naptime yet??
xx
NOTE: I've entered this card into the Spring Photo Challenge #44 over at Card Makin Mamas :-)
The stamping is beautiful Mary!!! Distress Ink huh? What a great effect. Never occured to me to use my iron on my pages- does that cut down on warping? I've been using lots of paint lately (first time ever) and it's been hard to keep the paper flatish- will try this as well!
ReplyDeleteOh your dot technique is very very cool! I've never used distress markers, but you did a great job! Thanks for playing with our Furry Friends theme this week at Designed to Color
