A New Release Blog Hop With May Arts!

Hello!!

Welcome to my stop on the May Arts new release blog hop :-)  You should've come here via Mallika's blog, but if you've stumbled along my blog first, just hop on over to the May Arts blog and start from the beginning.  AND don't forget to leave comments along the way for your chance to win some lovely ribbon from May Arts!!

Now, on with the makes!!!

Here's what I've come up with...

For my first project, I've created a little backpack-shaped book for my baby girl to use as a sort of yearbook.  You know, something for notes/signatures from friends and photos to commemorate her 4th grade classmates.

I LOVE the stitching detail.

The inside paper is blank and ready to be filled...

...and the front latch doubles as a pen/pencil holder!

My second project is as simple as can be!  It was my first attempt at sewing a zipper, but I love how it came out.

This simple pouch was created by stitching four lengths of the 2" Grosgrain Horizontal Stripes ribbon in Black/White together to form the base.

The black stitches blend in well for an almost seamless look...

Once the base was formed all that was left to do is add a zipper and my pouch was ready to fill!  I had
originally intended it as a pencil case for my daughter, but I may have to keep this one instead.  I LOVE the black/white stripes!!

Ok, guys that's it for me!!  I do hope I've inspired you to grab some of your favorite May Arts ribbon and get to makin'.

The next stop along your way should be Rhea's blog.  Thanks so much for stoppin' by today, now get hoppin'!!

xx,
