Home Is Where The Heart Is...A May Arts Hop With Faber-Castell!

Hello and welcome to my stop on this week long hop with May Arts and Faber-Castell!  If you've missed any of the goodness this week, you may want to head on over and check out earlier posts and leave comments for your chance to win some swag from May Arts and Faber-Castell :-)

Ok, now on with the makes!!  Here's what I came up with...

This sweet banner was created by adhering vintage dictionary pages to some linen material for a bit of added strength. I trimmed out, stitched and stuffed five of these mini houses, in total.  Here's a peek...

I think this one may be my favorite.

The background was created by laying down some lovely color using Gelatos in Bubble Gum, Guava and Lavender and then dabbing on a touch of Gold Champagne.

A few doodled hearts using the White Pitt Artist pen add a touch of whimsy...

...and the layered Plain 2.5" Cotton Blend ribbon makes a perfect roof!  A heart in the center of each house is stitched on and embellished with my favorite lace, trim and vintage findings to finishes them off.

All that's left to do is string them along a length of  Natural 1/8" Cord/Burlap ribbon with bits of lace and trim and my banner is ready to display!

And that's, my friends, is the project.
