Sparkle.

Hello, TGF Fans!!

Welcome to my little stop on The Greeting Farm's 'Cyber-Monday Celebration Hop', featuring US---The Greeting Farm customers :-)

I'm so super excited to be playing along with a handful of other TGF lovers!!

http://splendidstamping.blogspot.com/

We've each spent time in our crafty spaces creating with some of our favorite TGF products, and today we get to share those creations with you in an EPIC Holiday Hop!!

Here's what I've come up with...

This sweet little tag was inspired by the word 'sparkle' on the My Favorite Thing set from the Oliver & Amelia range.

You may have noticed that I've done a little body swapping to create my very own mix of TGF characters for this tag---Amelia's body and Twinkle Bean's head.  I LOVE how she turned out!!

Sparkle indeed.

Here's a peek at the back of the tag...

Aaaaaannnnddd, here's a peek at 'Amelia Bean' herself...HA!!

For this tag, I've used the sketch from the December Challenge over at UmWowStudio as inspiration.  YES!!  I've actually used a sketch.  I've never been very successful at using sketches, but I think this one worked!

Here's a peek at the sketch, and how I've translated it into inspiration for my tag...

#1 - Clip!  Even tho' the sketch is showing a paperclip, I think this mini clothespin works.
#2 - Horizontal strips of patterned paper, with a focal image/photo (in this case, a colored image).
#3 - Splatter!!  'Nuff said.
#4 - A sprinkling of stars.  DREAMY!
#5 - A circle element.  Instead of flair, I went with doodled circles.
#6 - A strip of vertical paper along the edge.
#7 - Polka dot paper.

Here's a quick list of products I've used:
My Favorite Things stamp set (RETIRED) & Twinkle Bean stamp (RETIRED)  - The Greeting Farm
Vintage Christmas 6x6 inch paper pad
Star Confetti & Circle Confetti Mask  - UmWowStudio
Caribbean Blue Flat Fabio & Danny Zuko's Denim Flat Fabio - Lindy's Stamp Gang

And finally, if you're TOTALLY diggin' the wrapping on the gift in the first couple photos above, here's a little tut on how to up-cycle yourself a little Holiday Garland LOVE.

Alrighty Folks, that's it for me!!  Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Now, get to hoppin' and then go get your SHOP ON!!

"Was it all a DREAM?"

Hey, everyone!  I'm here with The Greeting Farm today and I'm happy to report that no, it definitely was NOT a DREAM!

That's right!  Today is the super special mid-month RELEASE DAY for the brand new mixed-media DREAM kit... appropriately titled "DREAMY"!   This jumbo-sized, 8.5x11 FULL sheet of stamps is available starting NOW over in the TGF STORE, so be sure to grab yours before they sell out!

Lately, I've been on a mission to create a banner for every month of the year.  Yep!  A banner a month for the whole year.

It may take me ten years to accomplish this feat, but the cute little houses stamp in "DREAMY" inspired me to take one step closer to my goal with this colorful cutie :-)

This banner is sportin' butterflies, bows, watercolor, embossing, free form stitching, punchinella (from Gauche Alchemy!), gold doilies and a whole lotta "DREAMY" stamp love!!

Here's a peek at each individual piece...

Dreamy.

Hello!!  Today, I have something absolutely DREAMY to share with you.

A preview of the 'DREAMY' kit, to be exact.

The 'DREAMY' kit is a fabulous 8.5 x 11 inch set of stamps, that's being released on June 15th over at The Greeting Farm.

Stamps that are awesome.

Stamps that'll knock your mixed media socks off your mixed media feet, but are totally rockin' for your more traditional cardmaking projects!!

Alright, enough with the chitchat, and on with the paper and glue and stuff :-)

This sweet little canvas was created using several stamps from 'DREAMY'.

I have to say that this set of rubbah has it all.  From background love to sentiments, this pretty girl and more!

How sweet is she??

A little paper piecing from the Maggie Holmes paper collection for Crate Paper...

...aaaaaaannnd some dimensional sparkle, and she was complete :-)

Okay guys, I hope you've enjoyed my little peek into 'DREAMY'.  If you want more eye candy created with this fab new set, hop on over to The Greeting Farm!!

And if you want a little tut on how I've created the canvas above, check it out HERE ;-)

See ya on the flip side!

Shimmy And Shake.

Hello, ma peeps!!

Recently, I discovered a FAB set of neon glitters in my local Michael's.  Man, do I love neon!!  Mix that with glitter and I was completely sold.

Soooo, I whipped out my glue and glittered up myself a supah fun, splat-tastic card base for one amazingly cute Bean :-)

This is The Greeting Farm's Glisten Bean.  How cute is she??!

Aaaaaannnd, here's the best part...

SHE WOBBLES!!!

Yep!  A genuine wobbly, bobble head card.  I love making these!  They're sweet, with just enough shimmy and a tad bit o' shake.

Fun, right??

Frilly Town.

Hello and how are ya?!??

Soooo, my precious baby girl had a birthday over the weekend.  She's now a fully functional eight year old.

I tried to convince her that she was turning seven again this year, but apparently she doesn't appreciate repeating birthdays as much as I do.

I think I was twenty-eight for three years, at least ;-)

All this girly party planning and togetherness, has me fully stuck in Frilly Town.

We're talkin' twirly skirts, sparkle shoes, nail polish and bling rings---so when Oozak's latest challenge turned out to be Anything Goes with Ribbon, Lace and Pearls, I was in crafty hog heaven!!

Here's what I came up with...

I colored up one of my all time fave The Greeting Farm stamps, Stella

She looks so much like my girl!!

Same do---same chubby face :-)

The background and ribbon were colored up with a bit of Dusty Concord Distress Ink.

I'm soooooo feelin' the purple!

I stamped a simple sentiment on the inside.

And here's the close-up...

Are you feelin' the call of your ribbon, lace and pearls??  If so, grab your stash and whip up something puuurrrrty to link up :-)

OH!!  And just a heads up, Oozak is currently smack dab in the middle of a Design Team Call!  If you wanna play, hop on over and cha-cha-check it out!!

{CELEBRATE}

What's the best way to celebrate October 1st, otherwise known as World Cardmaking Day??? Why, with a card, of course!!!

I host a local group of ladies in a quarterly card swap, and tonight's the night! Imagine my surprise, when I found out that today is World Cardmaking Day!!! Boy, oh boy...It's kismet :-)

I have it bad for polka dots. In fact, the only thing better than dots, is black and white dots! So, after finding this paper in my stash, I knew I wanted to go black and white.

I've also been stalking quite a few different banner stamps for awhile now. I say stalking, because it's been a bit of an obsession! I finally decided to go for the Hero Arts "Friendly Flags" set. Oh, man does this stamp set make me happy!!! ***LE SIGH***

And what's a card without stitching??? Lots of stitching. Lots of messy, fun stitching!

I finally pulled out my Cool Gray Copics and got to coloring! It's my first attempt at a black and white image and I'm pretty ok with it :-)

I hope your taking some time today to get your craft on!!! Go make a card and share the love...

Thanks for stoppin' by!!!
