Who is my "You"?

My friend, Tam-mera-rost!!! That's how I like to say her name. Go on! Say it aloud. Just once. Hee-hee!

The moment I saw Krista's new digi, I knew I was going to make a card for Tammera. Not for Tammera herself, but for her to give to a friend. Love that I'm able to add a little love back into the world.

I've colored her up with my Copics in C00 thru C5 with just a bit of R30 and R20 for the ribbon.



Oh, and do you recognize the sentiment? It's lyrics from the song Fly by Nicki Minaj ft. Rihanna. Love this song :-) TOTAL "chick fight song"!! Kinda like Eye of the Tiger, but for GIRLS!

Self Portrait Saturday - Pet LOVE!!

Hiya Peeps!!

I've been organizing some photos lately, and I realize I've spent an abundance of time behind the camera...

I've caught some lovely family memories. Events. Moments to remember.

But, where am I?

Many times, you'll find a token photo of me taken by another attendee, or a forced photo from my Hubbs.

Ya see, I LOVE taking pictures. LOVE scrappin' them. But posing? Not so much.

I recently saw a fun weekly challenge over on Wonder Forest that calls you to get in front of the camera.

Wow, ya mean I'd be present in my children's scrapbooks?

Actual photos of Mom. Happy. Day-to-day. Pretty and not-so-pretty moments---but real...

And there.

So, here's my first entry of many in this weekly challenge. JOIN ME!!! Ya know ya wanna.

This week's theme is "with a pet".

This is R.J. (aka Rotten!). She's mean, and will lit-er-al-ly punch you with her cat fists!! She hates everyone---except me. Ya gotta love someone who loves you, especially when they hate everyone else!

Here's my twelve shots for March---even if the 12th IS a distant memory ;-P Done is done, baby. I win the internetz!!!

ONE - Cutest. Picture. Ever. I had to catch her crossing her eyes to look at her nose :-)



TWO - Peanut being a naughty little Peanut in the clean laundry basket.

THREE - Paige has had this little sign on her door since she could write. LOVE the rock hands on the bottom!!! \,,/ \,,/

FOUR - Poor Daddy has no hair so Paige decided to make him a wig :-)

FIVE - My boys embrace their inner nerd! Wow. Just WOW.

SIX - Josh gets Happy Birthday sang to him right in the middle of dinner. If he could have burst into flames he would have!!! At least they brought dessert. Free dessert.

EIGHT - Me and T back in the day!! Prom snapshot for a keychain. TOTALLY liked it better than the actual prom portraits ;-)

NINE - I changed my mind! This is the cutest picture ever.

She was colored with Copics in C00 thru C9 with just a pop of R24, 27, 29. And the paper is from the new Heidi Swapp Sugar Chic 6 x 6 paper pad. LOVE!!!

ALWAYS be Batman...

...if given the chance. Just sayin'.

Have you seen this cute little picture floating around the internetz???



It kills me! Soooo cute. And it kinda looks like my hubby did as a tiny man.

It just so happens, that my hubby and all three of my kiddos have sported said costume at one point. LOVED each and every one!

Ant and Josh were both Batman one year for Halloween at 4 and 2. Ant only allowed Josh to copy 'cuz his own costume was way cooler with all those muscles ;-)

My hubby couldn't stand it! He had to wear the mask one night while sneaking into the kitchen for some cold pizza. He's now forever named The Pizza Bandit, lolz!!!

And Paige was Batgirl a few Halloweens ago. SOOOOO cute with her chubby little knees!

So, in honor of Batman and Batman-loving peeps in my home, I SMASH*ED it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Today is my baby boy's birthday! He's 13 today.


(Impromptu photo shoot at the farm...Who wouldn't take a pic up against a bright red wall???)

What can I say about Joshy??? He's my purple baby. My gentleman. My grumpy man. He does everything his way. Quietly.

He's the "good" one. The one who doesn't make waves. He always does what's needed.

When he was 2 he started talking about his baby sister. She wasn't born until he was 6.

Simple things make his day. Hand-me-down jeans from his brother. A special treat from the grocery store. A song sung together in the car.

He's a TOTAL 80's kid born in 1999. Loves Tom and Jerry, Scooby Doo and neon clothes.

He's the "easy" one. The one that normally would get over-looked. Especially when living in a family with a boisterous little sister and a challenging older brother.

Good Mornin', ALL!!!

Today, a brand new challenge begins over on the Saturated Canary Challenge Blog! Can I get a woot?!?! Oh, yeah. I totally just said that.

Challenge #13 is ALL about TWINE!!! Colorful and stripey or rustic and earthy, I love me some twine :-)

Here's what I came up with...

I LOVE this little image!!! Such a sweet and simple little scene. Her name is Wash Day and you can find her HERE.



I went with a rustic brown twine as my main embellie. It has such a fun (aka HAIRY!) texture and, oddly enough, smells like dirt. Yes, I was sniffing my twine!!!



I've colored her in sepia using Copic markers in the E40's and E50's.

"Who," ME???

In honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday, Paige's school allowed the kids to dress up as one of the iconic characters from any of his books. To say Paige was excited, was a COMPLETE understatement!!!

After a bit of debate on the many reason's why Daddy said she couldn't dye her hair blue (to be Thing 1 or 2), she finally decided on Cindy Loo, a happy little resident of Whoville :-)

Paige put on her best pink outfit and we set to work on a "do" that would make any Who proud!

Fun, right?? We thought so!

So tonight, in honor of Dr. Seuss, grab your One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish, The Lorax or YOUR favorite Seuss book and spend a bit of time with someone you love.
We'll be reading Green Eggs And Ham :-)

Here's a little card I created using the latest Card Makin Mamas challenge (#39) as inspiration :-) It's ALL about the BIRTHDAY!



The stars are cream burlap over white chipboard. I gave the chipboard a quick coat of yellow so just a bit of color can be seen peeking throught the texture of the burlap.



And this sweet little image can be picked up over at Tiddly Inks! Her name is Sugar Plum Fairy.



Gosh, I love the back of Copic colored images...MaGicAl. Just magical. Hee-hee!



I'm also gonna play along with Tiddly Inks Challenge #81 - Fabric Fun and Flutter By Wednesday Challenge #192 - OPEN with this card. (I'm not usually much on multi-tasking, but I think I TOTALLY deserve a gold star! And, maybe a cookie...)

Hiya, PEEPS!!! <--- That's my Easter-Is-On-The-Way Joke. LOLZ! Told ya. Can. Not. Help it.

Anywho, I'm back today with a new card creation for a brand new Saturated Canary Challenge---and it's a FABULOUS one, too! Wait for it...

DOILIES!!! Man, am I a fan of a doily :-) LOVE 'EM! They're a wonderfully simple way to add a bit of "pretty" to just about anything.

Here's what I came up with...



I've added a bit of texture to this sunny day scene with bits and pieces of a paper doily here and there.



And this sweet little image??? Her name is Duck, Duck, Goose and you can find her in Krista's Digi shop.
