Eat Cake

Hello!! Are you ready for a sweet tooth??

A bit of cake???

SERIOUS cotton candy hair?!??

Okee-Dokee.

Here's a peek at the card I've created for The Octopode Factory's Birthday Challenge. :-)

For my card, I've colored up Marie Antoinette. She's servin' up the cake at a full-on, technicolor Birthday Party in celebration of TOFF's one year anniversary!!

The background is Glimmer Misted to the extreme, with little splats of watered down, white paint. Before the paint dried completely, I blotted with a paper towel---which gave them a more transparent look. It TOTALLY reminds me of BuBBleS! LOVE!!

And here's a close-up...

And that's, THAT!

Happy Birthday TOFF!!!

Sk8er Boi

Good Morning :-)

Today, a brand new challenge starts over on the Saturated Canary Challenge Blog!!! This weeks theme is Red, White and Blue.

For my card, I've colored up Skateboarding. Isn't he the cutest?!??

I wanted a very urban feel, so I splattered and sprayed myself up a bit of red, white and blue graffiti paper :-) LOVE! So fun and definately theraputic.

Here's a FAB tutorial you can check out if you wanna give it a go.

And here's a close-up...

Now, you wanna see the inspiration for the card???

Yep. My baby is a skater boy :-) So you know I had to SMASH* that!

This one went into my mini SMASH* book, so I kept it really simple. Aaaannnnd, what better song lyrics to add than Tom Petty's Free Fallin??

Here's close-up...

There you have it folks!! ONE digi, TWO ways :-)

Now, skate on over and check out the rest of the girls' lovely creations and then go get ur COLOR ON!!

SWAG-TASTIC!

Hiya, Peeps!

Have you ever been on the receiving end of a fab gift? A little something you weren't expecting??

Well, recently I was the recipient of one SWAG-TASTIC bag o' goodies!!

Laura, from Pink Cake Plate Diaries, and Sara, from The Clever Pink Pirate, decided to host a little get together of AZ Bloggers. ***Read the deets by clicking their bloggy links above!***

At said get together, (YES! The very same party featuring the 'mustache-ian' party favors I had such a blast with HERE.) we were presented with these...

LOVE!!!

In this trove of treasures, I found a new fave. Vintage Rose Wraps.

This cute little headband is just one of the many lovely items for sale in their shop.

And they're a local (to me!) company created by sisters, Katie and Ginny.

I get to support locals, while lookin' cute. Now that's the definition of AWESOMESAUCE!!!

Well, until Paige stole it.

AWWW, well! I guess I gotta go shopping :-D

Thanks for stopping by!!

Miss Bee-Havin'

Recently heard in the Brockway home...

"Tony: Teenagers stink!! Mom, were we that bad when we were his age???

Mom: Yes. Yes you were.

Tony: Paige, that's what NOT to do. Start taking notes!

Paige: I don't know how to spell all the words."

I seriously ♥ that girl!!!

Speaking of things I ♥...

Have you heard of The Octopode Factory? It's this little stamp shop by Lily Chilvers.

Her digis are so fun, with a slightly dark twist! LOVE!!

Here's a card I created with her Whimsical Bee Digi Stamp...

Cute, no?? I love the "One Sting Remaining"!!

Here's a closer look...

And there's a challenge blog, too!! Apparently, it's coming up on it's first anniversary, with all the celebration that implies :-)

Ima hop on over and link up my card for their Girls Just Wanna Have Fun challenge, now!!!

I think our fair Miss Bee-havin' has DEFINATELY been havin' a bit of fun.

One Sting Left. Just sayin'!

Hello, Dolly!!!

Hiya, Peeps!

The Challenge was issued. The Gauntlet laid down. Can you create an outfit without fabric? Hmmm...

We shall see.

Recently, Jenn "Scraps" Walker challenged the Gauche Girls to do just that! I mean, if a girl can wear a paper and duct tape to the prom...

Ya know. Just sayin'!

Here's my girlie, all decked out in Gauchey goodness :-) Her name is Flora cuz she reminds me of a pretty bellflower.

Aaaaannnd, the rear-view.

***As driver's ed has taught us, a good rear-view is SO important.***

Her fab little dress was constructed of 'petals' created from vintage music sheet and washi tape.

YEP, washi. When fabric fails you, washi never does!!

Her wings are ouchless cardboard from Gauche Alchemy's shop. That stuff is AWESOME!! I love me some cardboard and it totally saved my fingers. Not to mention some serious time!

Her pretty little head is molded paperclay over a styrophome ball. The mold is one I created myself from a FAB bisque flapper dolly I picked up. She has the Kewpie doll face!! I seriously HEART that face :-)

And I'm totally diggin' the punchinella crown. A girl's gotta have a crown.

Now, hop on over to the Gauche Alchemy blog and see what the rest of the girls have come up with!!

Later, Dollies!!!

Pretty As A Picture.

Hello, Hi and How-are-ya?!?!!

Today, a brand new challenge begins over at Saturated Canary Challenge Blog!

This week's challenge is Anything Goes!!! Easy, no??!

Here's what I came up with...

I created this cute little keepsake box and mini album for my daughter, Paige.

The box was a basic, gifty-type chipboard box. It was super cartoon-ey and WAY in need of some serious aesthetic help!

After a few coats of gesso, and a TON of glimmer spray ink, it was ready for my girl's special trinkets and treasures :-)

I even snuck some washi in there!

For the mini book, I colored up Tourist. She is the cutest!!! Love her! She totally reminds me of Paige :-)

You can pick her up in the Saturated Canary digi shop.

Here's the close-up...

...and the SpArkLe!!!

Now, hop on over and see what the other girls have created, and then go get crafty!!

xox,
